This course is designed to provide an understanding of the many aspects which are included in the global term “Clean Steel”.
It will look in detail at the different aspects which determines a Steel’s cleanness. The modules will provide an insight into the formation of Inclusions, the steelmaking techniques used to ensure Clean Steel is delivered to the Continuous caster and the casting techniques used to aid the cleaning process and the prevention of forming new inclusions.
