MET01072 – Annealing-Related Phenomena

Description

Estimated time: 1.5 hours

Annealing-Related Phenomena is part of recrystallisation that is part of ferrous metallurgy. The recovery; recrystallisation recovery and recrystallization is presented. In the first part of the course the restoration is described in detail. Then, the annealing process is related with the mechanical properties and metallographic structure. After that the incubation time and the relationship between recrystallisation and temperature is described. The grain growth by alloy in steel is introduced and the grain growth when the temperature increases beyond the recrystallization range is explained in detail. Finally, the effects of initial grain size and structure on recrystallization is described.
