MET01092 – Recrystallisation and Texture

The definition of recrystallization texture and its relation with polycrystalline aggregate will be explained. In the first part of the course, the deformation texture and the anisotropy is explained. After that, the benefits and disadvantages of texture is compared. And the stereographic projection, orientation distribution function and orientation of stable recrystallization nuclei is presented. Finally, three theories of the development of annealing textures will be explained and then related between them.
