Through a combination of case studies, industry insights, and simulated practical exercises, this course equips individuals to lead with vision and drive positive change within the steel sector.

The course

The steelManagement course is structured around three key pillars: thinking strategically, acting strategically, and influencing strategically. These pillars form the foundation for developing effective leadership skills in the steel sector:

  • Think Strategically: This pillar focuses on honing participants’ ability to think critically and strategically. It involves understanding the broader industry landscape, identifying trends and emerging opportunities, and assessing the competitive forces at play within the steel sector. Participants will learn how to analyze data, assess risks, and make informed decisions that align with the long-term vision and objectives of their organizations.
  • Act Strategically: Acting strategically is about translating strategic thinking into action. This pillar emphasizes the implementation of well-thought-out plans, resource allocation, and project management. Participants will learn how to execute strategies efficiently, manage projects, and adapt to changing circumstances while keeping the overall organizational goals in mind.
  • Influence Strategically: Influence is a crucial aspect of leadership. This pillar focuses on developing the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to rally teams, build collaborations, and navigate organizational dynamics effectively. Participants will learn how to inspire and motivate teams, negotiate and resolve conflicts, and engage with stakeholders to gain their support for strategic initiatives.

By integrating these three pillars, the steelManagement course equips participants with a well-rounded skill set to “lead with vision” in the steel sector. It emphasizes not only the importance of strategic thinking but also the practical implementation of strategies and the ability to influence key stakeholders, ensuring that leaders are well-prepared to address the complex challenges and opportunities within the industry.
