In this new edition of steelTalks in spanish we are going to analyze the presence and history of women in the field of architecture and engineering. We will review their achievements and analyze the possible causes that have led them to be invisible in most cases. In addition, their work will be presented as a model and reference for future professionals. This session will address topics such as:

Marialexis Nando

Gerdau Corsa
Architectural Engineer from the Higher School of Engineering and Architecture of the National Polytechnic Institute (2013), specialized with an interuniversity master’s degree in Architectural Communication at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the Complutense University of Madrid, at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (2020 ). During the completion of his master’s degree, she collaborated in activities as part of the FOMO collective, in Tentacular Festival of Critical Technologies and Digital Adventures 2019 in Matadero Madrid and the Trans-escalation Meeting in 2020.
She collaborated for six years in the International Architecture and Design Magazine Arquine and the MEXTRÓPOLI Architecture and City Festival, coordinating the commercial area with advertising, sponsorships and events, linking companies interested in architectural culture. Currently, she is part of the Virtual Atelier group and works at the Gerdau Corsa company, in the area of market development and technical assistance, where she is in charge of carrying out outreach and outreach strategies with architects and engineers.
