SUMMARY OF THE LECTURE

In this new edition of steelTalks in Spanish, different typologies of industrial ships will be presented, such as hot rolled, truss type and reinforced girders.

Engineer Danie Ureña Muñoz will review constructive details from the point of view of constructability. In addition, the session will address both the design and construction of industrial ships.

Daniel Ureña is an engineer and has an Academic Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structures from the University of Costa Rica. He also holds a Professional Master’s Degree in Analysis of Existing Buildings from the Erasmus Mundus Program of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Technical University of the Czech Republic, where he completed his thesis.

He is a graduate of the International Master in Metallic and Mixed Structures in the Zigurat Program at the University of Barcelona and has a Specialization in Steel Joints from INESA at the University of Barcelona.

He is currently CEO of Sketch, Costa Rica, President of ACIES (Costa Rican Association of Structural and Earthquake Engineering) and President of the Costa Rica IABSE Group.
