SUMMARY OF THE LECTURE
Prequalified Moment Connections Type RBS (Reduced Beam Section): general aspects and applications in the Ed Project. ACAP (Dominican Republic).
In this new edition of steelTalks in Spanish we will try to review general concepts about the prequalified moment connection RBS (Reduced Beam Section), going through a quick historical contextualisation, the normative base (ASIC 358-16). In addition, we will show an application example in the Ed project. ACAP, in Santiago de los Caballeros (Dominican Republic).
We will see a step by step for the sizing of this type of connection and we will also review its use associated with the use of higher performance steels in the columns (ASTM A913).
SPEAKERS INTRODUCTION
Eng. Daniel Silvério Senior Technical Sales Engineer ArcelorMittal International Daniel Silvério is a Civil Engineer graduated from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a specialist in Steel Structures from the Brazilian Institute of Continuing Education (INBEC) and in Structural Projects of Steel Buildings with BIM Technology from the INESA TECH institution in Barcelona.
Additionally, he has an International Master’s Degree in Metallic and Mixed Building Structures from the Zigurat Global Institute of Technology & IL3 Institute of the University of Barcelona. He is part of the Presales for Construction Products team in the position of Technical Sales Engineer, based in the São Paulo/Brazil office, being in charge of the hot-rolled section line of ArcelorMittal LCE (Long Carbon Europe) for all of Latin America.
With more than 10 years in the Metal Construction field, it actively participates in Projects of different natures, collaborating in the regulatory development in different countries and contributing to the promotion of the use of Structural Steel in Civil Construction in our region.
