Statistics are revealing, that working in confined spaces is still a leading cause of multiple fatalities and serious injuries. The special requirements of confined spaces must be considered by appropriate safety measures, gas detection technology and protective equipment to prevent accidents and incidents. In this webinar, we will point out the main causes of an increased accident frequency.

Speaker Introduction

Thomas Lawrenz
Global Trainer Dräger Academy

Thomas Lawrenz has a background as occupational health and safety engineer. He is part of Dräger’s Global Academy, working as a professionally accredited Vision Zero Trainer. Thomas is creating and deducting training in Confined Space Entry applications, i.e., entering or working in containers, silos, and tanks. Furthermore, he is focusing on rescue concepts, the cleaning and disinfection management, mental stress at workplaces and safe working in respiratory protection workshops.

With a clear vision of zero accidents, he is developing new training concepts for occupational health and safety and wellbeing.

René Krüger
Global Product Manager

René has a background as an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer working as a Global Product Manager in the team of Mobile Gas Measurement. He is responsible for the Dräger X-pid as well as Dräger´s Electrochemical Sensors. In his role, he is representing the most relevant interface between customer requirements and the company’s own product development.

Good market knowledge and understanding of customer’s needs are therefore the prerequisites for a successful product and this is one of his highest priorities.

René has a nine year background as Project Leader in different shutdown projects at our customer sites all over the world. In his professional carrier, he got deep insights into maintenance processes with a focus on applications in confined spaces.
